This year the garden tour will be part of Pittsfield's Downtown 3rd Thursday celebration on July 17th beginning at 5 p.m. , at 164 North Street.

The Tour has been most fortunate to have many talented individuals transform unpainted wooden birdhouses into works of art to benefit the garden tour. Whimsy creativity, originality, beauty -- experience it here. These
birdhouses are truly works of art and have become collectibles over the
years.

This year there will be a new feature in that the 50 birdhouses will be
juried and twelve will be selected by a professional jury for inclusion in
the Legacy Banks 2009 calendar. These 12 will be auctioned off live at 7
p.m. on July 17th. Previews will be held at 164 North St. on
        Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 from 11 to 2 and 4 to 7
        Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16 from 11 to 2

Could anyone resist these beauties!

In addition to the wonderful birdhouses, there also will be other fabulous
garden-related items and general merchandise available for bidding in
a silent auction. The auction will end promptly at 8 p.m.
