Birdhouse Spectacular & Silent Auction
& Artists' Reception

Each year, the Garden Tour Committee invites citizens and artists to decorate birdhouses in any manner, theme or fashion. The wooden birdhouses are built by Bill Jette.  We give the unadorned birdhouse to those who have agreed to paint, embellish, decorate it.  The "artists" then donate the birdhouses back to the Garden Tour to be sold at a silent auction.

This year the 50 unique birdhouses will be displayed at Chapters Bookstore, 78 North Street from Mid June until July 14th when they will be moved to The American Red Cross building at 480 West Street.

There will be a reception to honor the birdhouse artists on July 15th from 5 - 7 p.m. at the American Red Cross.  Other items in the silent auction may be previewed at this time.  This reception and preview is free and open to all.

The auction items will  then be exhibited during the Garden Tour's Birdhouse Spectacular prior to the Pittsfield Garden Tour, which this year is  scheduled for July 18 and 19.   During the Spectacular, the Birdhouses are auctioned to the public with this year's auction taking place on Saturday, July 18th.  The auction will close at 5:30 p.m.

These will be auctioned Saturday, July 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the American Red Cross building, 480 W. Main St. See you there!
